Great fun afternoon with Tanja and Beat at the Rope Park Atzmännig!

After almost two weeks of traveling through Namibia, we arrived at Runde, the place where Tanja and Beat had lived for more than two years working as volunteers.

The huge Etosha National park was an unforgettable experience for us!

Two days at Kipwe Lodge. A luxury place in the desert. Our stop between the Atlantik coast and Etosha National Park.

After the Atlantic cost, we drove inland into the Namibian desert again and camped at Rhino Ugab River camp. Amazing remote place between rocks in the middle of nowhere.

On the way from Swakopmund to Rhino Ugab River we passed Cape Cross, a seal colony. Aparently around 50 thousand seals living on that small piece of land along the cost. You can imagine the smell and noise…

What a change between the sand dunes and Swakopmund, the access point to the Atlantic. Cold breezes and fog on most days. We made a catamaran cruise to a seal colony and watched the oyster farms.

Sossusvlei – our first highlight during out Namibia Trip. We camped at Sesriem, the last camp site before the desert and got up before sunrise to watch the awesome colors between the dunes when the sun rises.

On May 8, 2010, we started our Trip to Namibia. Tanja picked us up at the airport in Windhoek and Beat arrived one day later on Monday morning. Tanja and Beat had arranged the entire trip, starting from route planning to reservations for lodging and eating.  

We spent Easter in Hyeres (South France) windsurfing in 13 degree water and 15 air… pretty cold. At least, four days strong Mistral wind for small sails.
