El Gouna

After five years, we went back to Egypt for two weeks kitesurfing in El Gouna. We stayed at the Three Corners Ocean View, located in the El Gouna Marina. The hotel has a nice swimming pool and ocean swimming access. The food is okay, but we recommend having dinner at one of the surrounding restaurants – Sushi at Barten, Mexican at Chicha, breakfast at Malu’s Deli or Vietnamese at the Saigon Restaurant.

The hotel offers a free shuttle service to the Makani Beach Club, which we think is the best place for kitesurfing in El Gouna.  The big sandy bay is a bit deeper than the other spots, you can go out without problems in low tide. There is a big choice of really good food there too.

From the 12 days, we had 10 for 8/9m Kites and two days for 12m Kites. In fact, we should have brought 7m kites.
